North Shore Arc

Mission Statement: The North Shore Arc is dedicated to providing lifelong individualized supports to people with, or at risk of developing disabilities, and their families, ensuring opportunities to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, work, socialize and play.

The North Shore Arc is a non-profit, 501(c)3, disability service organization whose grassroots foundation was built by a small group of parents, siblings and individuals in the 1950’s. Since that time, it has grown into one of the most influential human service agencies in the Commonwealth.

The range of service models offered and geographic areas served have expanded significantly in the past half century, and continue to evolve in response to the changing needs of those we serve. We currently provide a wide array of residential, day, family support, autism, personal assistance and early intervention services. In spite of this dramatic growth, the organization has never lost sight of its fundamental commitment to high quality, person-centered supports offered within the context of a vibrant and inclusive community.

The North Shore Arc is funded through a variety of sources, including state contracts, fees for services, an annual membership campaign, major fundraising events, major and planned gifts, sponsorships and special gifts from donors, corporations, civic organizations and individuals.
